Getting an ASUS USB-AC53 Nano working on Ubuntu 20.04

I recently built a PC for myself, and refused to pay the $200 or so to also get a Windows 10 license.

Instead, I’ve I’ve been using Ubuntu as my daily driver and it’s worked well up until I added an ASUS USB Wi-Fi adaptor. So what is it, anyway?

$ lsusb | grep -i asus
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 0b05:184c ASUSTek Computer, Inc. 802.11ac NIC

I searched for the device ID (0b05:184c), and managed to successfully build and install the driver on 5.4.0-33-generic.
